The Legend of
Bastien

Chapter 5 – Chasm of Difference – Part 1
of 3
Billy
and Miranda were both standing looking through the window of the school door
watching for Chris.
“There
he is!” Billy said, spotting him just turning the corner to head for the
village green. They watched as he paused
at the edge of the green trying to decide to take the long way around or go through
the deeper snow instead. They saw him
jump out into the snow and literally try to run through it towards the
school. As he got close enough, they
held the door open for him.
Chris
ran straight into the school, glad that they had opened the door for him. He was so cold his teeth were chattering, and
he was sure his upper legs were numb.
“Hi
Chrissy!” Miranda said pointedly to him as the door was closed behind
him.
Chris
now saw not just Miranda and Billy, but all of Billy’s friends and a number of
other kids from the school there as well, all of them looking at him.
“Chrissy?”
Billy asked.
“Well
sure,” Miranda replied. “Look at
him. He’s not boy enough anymore to call
him Chris, so we’ll call him Chrissy from now on instead.”
Billy
looked at her, totally surprised, then his face broke out in a smile. “I like it!” he stated. “Chrissy!
From now on. We’ll tell
everyone.”
Chris
was so cold and trying to recover, he just barely took it all in. He felt Miranda grab his arm and start
leading him further into the school.
“Hey,”
Billy said. “Where are you going. I want him in the boy’s room right now. He’s got work to do before school starts.”
Chris
winced. They were starting on him
already.
“Not
yet!” Miranda replied. “At least let him
get his coat off first.”
Billy
grunted angrily. “At least it’s on the
way.”
Miranda
stopped at Chris’s locker and held his purse for him while he took his coat
off. She noticed how full it was and
looked inside. She pulled the flat soled
shoes out. “Here,” she said as she
handed them to him. “Better put them
on. I know Billy here would rather see
you in them than those nice warm boots.”
Chris
said nothing as he looked at both of them.
He removed his boots and put his feet into the shoes. They felt freezing cold inside. He had to kneel down to buckle the straps on
them. As he did, he felt Miranda pulling
the back of his skirt up. His back
straightened as she did it.
“Just
checking,” Miranda laughed. “Still dry?”
Chris
only looked at her angrily before going back to fastening his shoes again. When he was done, Billy quickly grabbed him
and dragged him into the boy’s room.
Chris noted that several other boys were already in there. They were all looking him over
curiously. Billy didn’t seem to care about
them though. Billy wasted no time at all
pulling his pants down. “Get busy,
cocksucker!” Billy ordered, “and don’t forget to put fresh lipstick on before
you start…and when you’re done.”
Chris
had little choice but to dig into his purse to grab his little mirror and a
tube of the lipstick they had given him last night. As he was putting it on, he heard Billy
announce to everyone in the bathroom, “This here is Chrissy now. As you can see, he’s not man enough for a boy’s
name anymore. So from now on, we all
call him Chrissy.”
Chris
had a feeling his life was even further over.
Something that was forcefully made plain to him the moment he put his
lipstick away and Billy shoved him to his knees. While kids watched, he was forced to suck off
not just Billy, but Billy’s friend Chet too, having to put fresh lipstick on
before and again after Chet. Only then
was he allowed to head to his first class.

Tess
arrived at the bank and stopped just outside the door. Posted prominently on the front of it was the
order defiling her son. She had no doubt
at all that the same paper decorated the front doors of most buildings in town. She pushed her way wearily inside.
“Tess!”
Hugh Jackman, the bank manager said as he saw her entering. He hurried to meet her and hugged her. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered.
“Yeah.” It was all she could reply.
“It
isn’t right,” he whispered even softer in her ear.
She
looked at him. “What can I do?” she
asked.
“I
don’t know,” he replied.
She
pulled herself away from him. Her
husband used to have Hugh’s job. Her
husband used to be the bank manager, and she was the teller. Now she was just the teller for someone
else. But for how much longer? The Bastien’s were known for being cruel.
She
tried to work, but with the very cold weather, there was less for her to do
than usual. All her mind wanted to think
about was what she could possibly do to help Chris. But there was nothing. Finally, she decided on a desperate
plan. A doomed plan. But she had to do something. She had to try something. “Hugh,” she called. “I can’t do this today. I’m leaving.”
“Sure
Tess,” Hugh agreed. “I don’t blame
you. It’s slow today anyway. I’ll handle it.”
“Thanks,”
she said. She put her coat on and left. As difficult as the cold was to ignore, she
barely noticed it. Her footsteps headed
around the bottom of the village green and onto one of the roads leading up into
one of the small hills that bordered the town.
It was a while before the house came into sight. A house much grander than the house she lived
in now. A house much grander than the
house she used to live in when her husband had still been alive. The house of the man himself, Judge
Bastien. The ruler of Bastien. The undisputed king. She knocked on the door and it was eventually
opened. Tess stared for a moment at the
woman who served as the maid for the judge and his wife. “I’m here to see the judge please,” she told
her.
“Who
is it Ash?” Tess heard a woman’s voice say.
The maid moved away, and another woman took her place in the doorway.
“Tess!”
Olivia Bastion said, seeing who was at her door.
Tess
looked up into the imposing face of Olivia Bastion, and before she knew what
she was doing, she dropped a small curtsey.
She didn’t know why it happened, but she was always tempted to do that
in Olivia’s presence. She saw Olivia’s
smirk.
“I
take it you want to see my husband,” Olivia said without letting her in.
“Yes,
please.”
“Like
father, like son?” Olivia said.
“Please,
may I see him?”
“You
know,” Olivia said, purposely keeping Tess out in the cold, “I hear your son
could have possibly taken his father’s place at the bank. I also heard talk of considering him for an
accounting job for the cheese factory. A
few other very well-placed jobs as well.
Of course, he could have just as likely become a farm hand where he did
nothing but tend to the smelly cows all day and all night.”
Tess
knew she was just trying to be cruel.
But then, that’s how she probably became Vincent Bastien’s wife to begin
with, by showing she had what it took to be the wife of King Bastien. “Please,” she begged again. “Just a quick word?”
With
another smirk, Olivia stood back and let her in. She led Tess to her husband’s home office
where he spent most of his time. She
stood at the door and let Tess enter.
“Judge
Bastien,” Tess began, to get his attention.
The
judge looked up from his desk. “Tess,”
he said. “I’m not at all surprised to
see you here.”
“Please,”
Tess begged. “Please let my son go.”
“No! He broke one of our strictest laws. He has to be punished.”
“But
not like this!” Tess begged.
“He
insulted my grandson, and I think it’s only fitting that Billy should be the
one to decide his punishment. It’s
either that, or I let Billy take him on a little hunting trip…like Tom did with
your husband.”
“Tom
murdered my husband!”
“It
was a hunting accident! And if I
hear anything different from you about it, I’ll let him take you hunting too.”
“Please,”
Tess begged again. “At least ease up on
Chris. He didn’t mean it.”
“He
meant it. He meant it enough to not only
keep insulting Billy, but he flat out said that Billy isn’t fit to rule this
town someday. If it was me or Tom, your
son would already be dead for that! Now
get out of here. You’re lucky your son
is still alive. Maybe you should be
spending your time thinking about keeping him that way instead of wasting your
time here. Get out!”
--- §§§§§§§§§§ ---
Chris’s
first class was already in progress by the time he got there. The moment he arrived, Miranda grabbed him,
disrupting the class as she pulled him to the front of the room. “You all heard,” Miranda announced. “But now you can see him for yourself.” She made Chris stand in front of the room,
even though she could see that the teacher wasn’t happy about it. But she was a Bastien, and the teacher knew
better than to argue with her. Miranda
pulled Chris’s short skirt up, fully exposing the toddler sized diaper he was
wearing. “See,” she told them all. “Diapers.
Permanently! And he has to use
them like a baby for everything.”
Her
hand went to the front of his diaper, and she felt around. “Still dry I see. I guess Billy has you so used to cock sucking
already that you didn’t wet yourself today.
But hey, the day is young.”
She
turned to the class again. “Just so you
know, I decided that since Chris here isn’t boy enough anymore, that he needed
a different name. So from now on, I’ve
decided that everyone should call him Chrissy instead.” She turned to Chris. “Got that…Chrissy?”
As
far as Chris was concerned, the smile on her lips was positively evil. So far, he hadn’t said one single word to
anyone since he got to school. As far as
he was concerned, he was going to try to keep it that way, if for no other
reason than to make sure his mouth wouldn’t get him into any more trouble.
Instead
of sitting in the front of the classroom, Chris found a seat at the very
back. The teacher was talking to the
class, trying to teach them things, but he wasn’t listening. He was too obsessed with his own
problems. Besides, if he was practically
dead, what did he have to worry about school lessons for anyway?
--- §§§§§§§§§§ ---
Why
had she bothered? Tess had known it
would be a doomed trip before she started.
But she had to try. Now she was
stuck with nowhere else to turn. She got
home and went inside, still trying desperately to figure out what to do about
everything. She put another piece of
wood in the stove and had just started to make herself some coffee when someone
knocked on her door. She answered it and
was surprised to see Better Tucker there.
“Hi,
Tess,” Bette said. “Hugh told me you’d
probably be home by now.”
Tess
invited her in and the two of them headed to the kitchen.
“How are you holding up?” Betty asked.
“Terrible! I left work and went to plead with the
judge.”
“How
did it go?”
“He
not only threw me out, he threatened to kill me and Chris both.”
“That’s
about what I would have guessed would happen,” Betty replied.
“Yeah,
me too. But I had to try.”
“Of
course. Listen Tess, since you’re home,
why don’t you come over to the store.
We’ve got a lot of things we probably should consider for Chris, and to
make matters worse, Alicia Bastien called me earlier this morning too. When we meet to start ordering things,
Miranda has asked to be here too.”
“Miranda!”
“Yes! She seemed awfully interested in this thing
last night. Almost more than Billy.”
“That’s…true,”
Tess replied, thinking about things. “I
wonder why.”
“No
telling. But before we start, I have to
phone the school so Miranda can be there when you arrive.”
Tess
considered it. “Okay. Give me an hour,” she replied. “I didn’t sleep a wink last night. Let me have some coffee and then I’ll head
that way.”
“I’ll
have a fresh pot made at the store an hour from now,” Betty told her.
--- §§§§§§§§§§ ---
Chris’s
next class was the math class where he had made his world-altering mistake the
day before. Miranda wasn’t in that
class, but Billy was, and like Miranda had done, Billy was only interested in
showing off his latest toy. Billy wanted
Chris to give a cock sucking demonstration right there in the room, but after a
quiet discussion with Mr. Goldberg about the younger students, Chris was spared
that humiliation. He did note though
that in return, Mr. Goldberg had agreed to let him suck his cock, in the
classroom, right after school, while anyone who wanted to watch, could do so.
