New
Story – My Funny Farm – Introduction
No, I’m not back.
Don’t even consider such a thing!
But since I wrote this story I just figured I’d share it with you. This piece may or may not be a piece of junk
story. Okay, no matter what you think of
it, it’s anything but a major literary effort.
Sorry. It is what it is. Try to enjoy it though, and I hope you do.
Just so you know, it’s not the story that’s the important
part for me, it’s the fact that I finished it.
With all the writing I’ve done over the years, for about the last two
years I haven’t been capable of finishing even one simple story. None!
So finishing this is the real accomplishment for me, not the quality of
the story (did I mention it’s crap?).
Okay, right from the start I’m going to tell you that this
is a story about diaper domination, coupled with sissy wear, coupled with male
humiliation (how could it not be a piece of junk). That said, beware!
Every story needs a framework or storyline. Sometimes though that framework doesn't fully
manifest itself until after you’ve begun to write it. That’s what happened here. I was trying to write a fun story for you all
to read, and I hope it still is, but shortly after I began, the story took
itself to somewhere I hadn’t expected, and a little bit later, something else
happened in it, and I realized that like it or not, the framework was going to
be something very serious. I’ve done my
best to minimize that serious subject, but it’s still part of the story.
I’ve mentioned a few times in the past that when I write,
I’m just along for the ride. I just let
my fingers wiggle around on the keyboard while I sit back and see what comes
out. That’s what I’ve done here. So like it or not, I went with what came out. Like I said, I hope you all still find it fun
to read.
What is the framework here?
An elderly man’s wife has died and left him alone. His depression grows over it, and he
eventually tries to commit suicide.
Fortunately, he didn’t succeed.
But his depression and continued drive to kill himself are still the
biggest things in his mind. The family
steps in and tries to use whatever they can to bring him out of it. However, even though the entire family wanted
to save him, some of them had their own agendas. And thus, you have a framework to work
around.
For those of you who don’t know, a funny farm is an old
slang term for what they now call a behavioral center, which used to be called
an insane asylum, and sometimes the nuthouse.
I’m sure there were a ton of other names for it as well. In the past, they were not viewed as nice
places, and indeed, some horrific things happened in them. This story doesn’t take place in the past
though, and those behavioral centers now offer some of the best care imaginable
for their patients. My heart goes out to
not just the patients in those places, but the staff as well. They’re all dealing with difficult issues and
jobs.
Shortly after beginning this story, one of the elements that
drove me to the framework was the words to an old song (if you can call it
that) from nineteen sixty-six. It was a
novelty song that somehow, unbelievably, managed to quickly climb itself to the
top of the music charts. The song is
called “They’re Coming to Take Me Away,” and it was performed by Napolean XIV, whose
real name was Jerry Samuels. I’ve
included the words to the song here.
Don’t worry about the melody, there wasn’t one. The entire thing was spoken, and the only
accompaniment to it was nothing but a marching drum. I wonder if it could be considered a
forerunner to today’s rap music.
The song is about a man whose wife has left him and it’s
driving him insane. Very similar to this
story.
They're Coming to Take Me Away,
Ha-Haaa!
by Napolean XIV
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees and begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well, you left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone completely out of my mind, and
They're coming to take me away,
ha-ha
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha, to the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away, ha-ha
You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed, you laughed
When I had said that losing you would make me flip my lid, right?
You know you laughed, I heard you
laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad, and
They're coming to take me away,
ha-ha
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha, to the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket-weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-ha
I cooked your food, I cleaned your
house
And this is how you pay me back for all my kind unselfish loving deeds? Huh?
Well, you just wait, they'll find
you yet
And when they do, they'll put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt! And
They're coming to take me away,
ha-ha
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha, to the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away, ha-ha
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-ha
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats

Hello Karen,
So the story that did not exist will finally fly away... Congratulations for providing us with a full story, 2025 promises to be a truly good year. I can't wait for you to publish it!
After the two painful years you went through, how good you should feel to be able to write again, because that means your health is better, maybe not to the top yet, but I hope and wish for you to be on the road to full recovery.
Wish you and your loved ones the best Christmas possible... Karen Singer's back!
